Duties Description The duties of the Section Manager - Workflow & Point Solutions include, but are not limited to, the following: Oversee the section's staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employeesEnsure resources are managed effectively to fulfill business demands based on prioritization and organizational scheduling and roadmap planningMaintain a quality workforce by overseeing and participating in the recruitment, selection, orientation and training of staff, as well as identifying and developing personal growth opportunities for staffSafeguard the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing business solutions within our business application portfolio. This includes collaborating closely with other IT units to ensure collective coordination for the success of tasks/ projects.Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand business needs, goals and prioritiesOversee quality assurance of applications to ensure accuracy, integrity and efficiencyRecommend information technology strategies within our business application portfolio by evaluating and anticipating requirements and identifying solutions. This will include close collaboration with other IT departments.Accomplish financial objectives of the department by forecasting requirements and providing budgetary information as required for our business application portfolioMaintain quality customer service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards and reaching out to customers to understand their needs and to communicate IT issuesWork closely with the Manager of our Applications Architecture and Process Management section to ensure our solutions align with our application standards for design, reliability, security, and are aligned with our business objectives
The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Minimum QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, mathematics or a related field, and three (3) years of experience at the supervisory level in Information Technology, including oversight of budgeting, planning, and personnel matters for multiple units within an Information Technology organization; ORAn associate degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, or a closely related field, and four (4) years of experience at the supervisory level in Information Technology, including oversight of budgeting, planning, and personnel matters for multiple units within an Information Technology organization; ORFive (5) years of experience at the supervisory level in Information Technology including oversight of budgeting, planning, and personnel matters for multiple units within an Information Technology organization.Preferred QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have experience leading the following: Developing within or proficient knowledge of market leader platforms and development tech stacksProficiency in facilitating meetings to elicit requirements from stakeholdersLeading a project team consisting of staff from multiple departments, coordinating their efforts and communicating progress to stakeholders and managementCommunicating IT operational activities and issues to various groups of stakeholders, as well as management and executive staffOverseeing subordinate staff by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating and enforcing policies and proceduresManaging and participating in the recruitment, selection, orientation and training of staff, identifying and developing personal growth opportunities for staff, and maintaining a safe and secure work environment for staffAdditionally, the ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following competencies: Commitment to providing exceptional customer serviceAdvanced leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsExcellent and advanced organizational and analytical skills with a strong ability to solve problemsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office products which includes Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Word
