Substitute Teacher – Kansas City, Missouri - Frontier Schools

Teachers Now is looking to hire dependable and motivated Substitute Teachers to serve Frontier Schools in Kansas City, Missouri. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support student learning, provide instructional continuity, and contribute to a positive and productive classroom environment when regular teachers are away.
Compensation
$110–$140 per day
(Pay is based on your education level/long term assignments)
What You’ll Do
- Lead classroom instruction using lesson plans provided by the teacher
- Create a respectful and well-organized learning environment
- Manage classroom behavior and encourage student participation
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
- Assign and review classwork and homework aligned with learning goals
- Record attendance and report concerns to school staff
- Collaborate with school personnel to support academic and behavioral outcomes
- For long-term roles, develop and deliver your own lesson plans in alignment with curriculum
Schedule
- Availability: Monday through Friday
- Full Day: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Half Day: Between 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Depends on grade level - 4 hour shift)
Qualifications
- All applicants will need to complete the Missouri Substitute Certification (unless it has been completed previously) which will not be reimbursed by Teacher's Now. - Minimum High School Diploma (required)
- Associate's/Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- 1 year of experience in a classroom or childcare setting (preferred)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Dependable transportation and consistent attendance
- Paid Training (STEDI Training provided by Teachers Now)
- Fingerprint Reimbursement
