Applications are invited for appointment as Executive Officer in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.:533281), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree with over 5 years of work experience in office administration, preferably in a tertiary institution. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage), excellent time management and problem-solving skills, a high level of IT proficiency (especially in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint), possess excellent communication, organizational, and people skills. They should be mature, meticulous, and discreet in handling matters. Applicants should also demonstrate the capacity for independent action, perform diversified duties and multi-task, and be able to work well under pressure with people from diverse backgrounds.
The appointee will lead the supporting team to provide a full spectrum of administrative support to the senior management team of the Centre in various areas including general office administration, human resources, finance administration, secretarial, project management, training/event organization, liaison with internal and external stakeholders, ensure compliance to HKU or funders' policies and procedural requirements, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Director. Applications with relevant research centre experience will be priorities.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
