What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software AI intern position at Te Varta?
AI Software Engineering Intern — Fall 2026
Remote · Internship · Open to all levels
About the Role
We're looking for a curious, self-driven AI Software Engineering Intern to join our team for Fall 2026. You'll work directly with the founding team across the full stack of building AI-powered products, from training and integrating models to shipping real features and exploring what's next in agent-based systems.
This isn't a "shadow and observe" internship. You'll own work that ships.
What You'll Work On
- Building and integrating LLM-powered features into production systems
- Designing and evaluating AI pipelines (RAG, agents, memory, tool use)
- Prototyping new ideas quickly and iterating based on real feedback
- Contributing to full-stack development across backend APIs and frontend interfaces
- Running experiments, evals, and helping define what actually works
What We're Looking For
- Familiarity with Python and at least one AI/ML framework (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, etc.)
- Exposure to LLMs and modern AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Strong instinct for building — you've made something, even if it's small
- Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by early-stage problems
- No specific graduation year required — open to all
Nice to Have
- Experience with vector databases, graph databases, or embeddings
- Prior internship, project, or hackathon experience in AI
- Familiarity with FastAPI, React, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
Perks
- Direct mentorship from the founding team
- Real ownership from day one
- Flexible, remote-first schedule
- Letter of recommendation upon successful completion
- Let me know if you want to adjust the tone (more startup-raw vs. polished), add comp info, or tweak any section.
