Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is offering a unique opportunity through our Whakapakari Apprentice Programme, a development pathway designed to grow the next generation of social services professionals.

Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is a whānau-focused, Iwi mandated, kaupapa Māori health and social services organisation. We have been supporting our whānau me hapori to achieve their aspirations and general wellbeing for 40 years. About The Programme
Grounded in the principles of tuakana-teina, this mentorship-based initiative fosters reciprocal learning between experienced practitioners (tuakana) and emerging professionals (teina). You’ll be supported to grow your confidence and capability in a real-world social work setting, guided by the Te Ara Mātua framework.
As a Teina, You’ll Gain
