Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Production Control & Supply Planning is responsible for end-to-end Production Control, owning materials and production flow from demand signal through manufacturing execution to shipment. This leader ensures the right materials are available at the right time, capacity is aligned to demand, and production plans are executable—while continuously transforming and strengthening the Supply Chain organization.

This role plays a critical part in aligning Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Warehousing, and Customer Service to deliver superior service, optimized inventory, and high operational performance.

Job Requirements

Production Control & Planning Execution

  • Analyze forecast signals from the Demand Planning team to generate an optimized build and execution plan, ensuring clear communication and alignment across the extended supply chain.
  • Lead the Master Production Scheduling (MPS) function to balance customer demand, production utilization, and inventory targets in a disciplined, controlled manner.
  • Own Production Control activities, managing materials “quote to cash”—from procurement and production release through finished goods shipment.
  • Lead the Planning team to ensure production plans are effectively translated into executable schedules for work centers, machines, and processes.
  • Monitor ERP and manual MRP system setup and parameters, identify material and capacity constraints, and proactively drive capacity expansion or leveling to prevent supply demand gaps.

Materials Management

  • Lead the Materials Analyst team to ensure the right materials are procured in the correct quantities and timing to support production plans.
  • Establish and maintain standards for materials management, including safety stock levels, WIP targets, and finished goods inventory.
  • Own the review and disposition of obsolete and excess inventory in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversee and supervise physical inventory processes and accuracy initiatives.

Supply Chain Leadership & Transformation

  • Lead, manage, motivate, and develop a high-performing Supply Chain and Production Control team.
  • Drive transformation of Supply Chain processes, tools, and team capabilities, elevating the organization toward best in class execution.
  • Actively partner with Demand Planning, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Procurement, and other Supply Chain functions to optimize end-to-end flow and decision-making.

What Your Background Should Look Like

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years' Supply Chain / Materials Planning experience, including 3 years in a leadership role or Equivalent work-related supply chain experience 
  • Experience in working with ERP systems and other IT systems at customer interface, e.g. SAP, EDI.
  • Experience with high mix, low volume manufacturing. As well as high runner product lines. 
  • Good communication skills, able to build customer relations and win customers for own ideas.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Process Improvement
  • Intermediate Excel Level minimum

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $111,300- $140,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
