Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Sr. Value Stream Manager is responsible for the safety and performance of day-to-day operations across the Legacy Relay/Kilovac value stream, as well as short- and long-term operational planning for the groups they manage. This role sits below the Director Plant Operations and above the Value Stream structure, providing leadership, coaching, and operational direction to ensure value stream performance is aligned to site and business priorities.

The Sr. Value Stream Manager partners closely with central plant core functions and plant support functions including EH&S, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, TEOA, Maintenance, Finance and Human Resources. The role is focused on translating customer and business requirements into sustainable manufacturing strategies, resource plans, continuous improvement priorities, and execution routines that improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, Cost, and People performance.

Job Requirements

  • Leads safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, forecasting, and routine business reviews across the Legacy Relays and Kilovac value streams with the support of Plant leadership.
  • Provides direct leadership, coaching, and performance expectations for Value Stream Managers and ensures daily management processes are operating effectively across assigned areas.
  • Ensures cost of poor quality meets or exceeds expectations by driving standard scrap reduction, improving internal and external quality, and reducing customer complaints / NoEs.
  • Leads value stream participation in A&OP Supply Planning, including rough cut capacity planning (RCCP), labor and machine forecasting, and execution of the operating plan.
  • Cost: ensures operational actions support achievement of cost targets, gross margin improvement, earned hours, labor productivity, and absorption requirements.
  • Working capital: partners with Supply Chain and value stream teams to achieve budgeted days on hand (DoH), reduce excess inventory, and manage PFO.
  • Cascades strategic objectives from Segment, Business Unit, Operations, and Plant leadership utilizing Hoshin Kanri, X-Matrix concepts, and policy deployment routines.
  • Drives creation and deployment of continuous improvement initiatives that enable value streams and supporting functions to meet or exceed operations plans.
  • Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for direct and matrixed teams based on strategic direction and business needs, including policy deployment and strategic workforce planning.
  • Leads overall people strategy for assigned value streams, including safety, well-being, culture, engagement, inclusion, workforce planning, and Every Voice Counts action planning.
  • Plans, directs, and monitors production activities and customer deliveries with the objective of optimizing organizational resources to meet or exceed established SQDIPC targets.
  • Delivery to Customer: ensures value streams achieve schedule attainment targets, minimize past due, improve output, and strengthen customer confidence.
  • Partners with central plant core functions and support teams to remove barriers, align priorities, resolve systemic issues, and standardize best practices across value streams.
  • Builds leadership capability and succession readiness across the value stream organization through coaching, talent development, and accountability for performance outcomes.

What Your Background Should Look Like

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Business preferred.
  • Minimum 10-12 years’ experience working in a manufacturing organization.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience required, with proven success leading production teams, value streams, or complex manufacturing operations.
  • Proven leader in driving transformational change, continuous improvement, and process optimization to improve production performance.
  • Experienced in project leadership and financial performance metrics, including productivity, costs, inventory, and margins.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, with TEOA and Hoshin Kanri experience preferred.
  • Familiar with low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments and managing relationships with multiple customers and suppliers.
  • Strong track record of developing leaders, building high-performing teams, and collaborating across cross-functional departments such as Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, EH&S, Maintenance, Finance, and HR.

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $162,400 - $203,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
