What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator - Ground Mats - Temp to Perm - 1st Shift (6am - 2:30pm Mon - Fri) position at TE Connectivity?
Produce products in a timely and efficient manner for the customers.
- Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
- Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.
- Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
- Work closely with the Quality Department to conduct inspections during the production process and verify product meets customer specifications and industry standards.
- Operate air and power tools as needed in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
- Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
- Follow safety rules and use safe procedures.
- Keep all tools and supplies put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Keep work area clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience required.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiar with Excel.
- Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Communicate effectively. Ability to Read, Write and Speak English
- Knowledge of various types of equipment such as:
- Air and power tools
- Micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures and gages
- Ability to work independently.
- Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand.
Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.
Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs - Work performed in a shop environment.
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $16.00/Hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
