About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Technician III to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Senior Outside Plant Construction Tech in overseeing construction and maintenance of PON/fiber network communications facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation:
- Clear sites for construction.
- Remove debris and obstacles.
- Prepare surfaces for excavation.
- Cable Installation:
- Lay underground cables.
- Install aerial cables.
- Connect cables to existing infrastructure.
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate trenchers, backhoes, and other excavating equipment.
- Use horizontal directional drills.
- Locate cables and other utilities.
- Safety Protocols:
- Follow strict safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety inspections.
- Report any safety concerns.
