The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs scheduled/unscheduled electro-mechanical repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks on the physical plant, equipment, and machinery within a food manufacturing environment according to standards. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on production uptime, product safety, and/or quality.

Position Responsibilities:
- Performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks
- Performs scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery
- Responds to and corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown
- Troubleshoots (when necessary)
- Repairs/replaces worn/defective parts, motors, control devices, PLC's, VFD's, etc.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area
- Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures (GMP's, HAACP, Safety, etc.)
- Performs other duties that are deemed by Management to be an integral part of the job
And then here's what we need from you:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of commercial or industrial maintenance-related experience and/or training
- Experience with low and high voltage electrical systems (must be able to read electrical schematics and blueprints)
- Demonstrated understanding of operating principles of Industrial Electrical Controls, VFD's, HMI's, and PLC's.
- Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department, which may be subject to evenings, weekends, and/or holidays (may be subject to on-call status)
- Ability to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
