Position Overview
TDK Construction is seeking a Construction Accountant to take full ownership of the company’s accounting operations. This is a hands-on role responsible for day-to-day accounting, job costing, cash management, and financial reporting.
The position works directly with the CEO and outside consultant and supports project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking across all projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and takes ownership of systems, processes, and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
· Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, job costing, and bank reconciliations
· Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks Desktop Contractors Edition
· Lead the transition and integration from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online Advanced/IES, including data cleanup and validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
· Oversee integration between Procore and QuickBooks to ensure accurate and timely financial data
· Prepare monthly financial reports, including Work-In-Progress schedules and internal reporting for leadership
· Track budgets, expenses, and project costs with accuracy and timeliness
· Support tax filings, audits, and compliance requirements in coordination with external accountants

Qualifications
· Construction industry accounting experience required
· Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Contractors Edition or QuickBooks Online Advanced/IES required
· Strong Excel skills
· Experience with job costing and Work-In-Progress schedules
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to take ownership and follow through without constant direction
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Procore
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting
