- Loads, unloads, stores, transports and furnishes craft workers with tools and supplies.
- Ensures the work environment remains safe, clean, and organized, with designated spots for all tools to facilitate easy identification of any missing or damaged equipment.
- Regularly restocks work areas with necessary supplies and materials to support seamless operations.
- Operates equipment and machinery such as forklifts, welders and repair tools.
- Coordinates tool repairs, replacements, and inventory management. Manages spare tools, assesses quantity requirements, and ensures availability for immediate use. Distributes tools to new team members and retrieves company-owned tools from departing personnel.
- Responsible for the proper function and safety performance of all tools.
- Performs semi-annual physical inventory of tools and assets (including trailers) to ensure all are accounted for.
- Performs shipping and receiving duties and delivers tools or materials to job sites.
- Coordinates with proper job site contacts for all tool deliveries.
- Coordinate fleet repairs and maintenance.
- Assign units to team members and maintain accurate assignment records.
- Decommission retired units following compliance guidelines.
- Receive, inspect, and inventory new fleet units.
- Perform other duties as required.
High school diploma or GED required
Must be certified or willing to complete safety training to obtain forklift certification.
Valid/current driver’s license and a good driving record.
1-2 years of tool coordination experience, preferably in the construction sector.
Working knowledge of tool organization software.
Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Intermediate Level using Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
