As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will:
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Support the layout and assembly of piping, fixtures, valves, and fittings
- Practice proper tool use, material identification, and safe work methods
- Work closely with journeyman plumbers and supervisors to develop proficiency
- Attend required ABC classes weekly (typically in the evenings)
- Progress through a structured training program with regular evaluations
- Follow all TDIndustries and job site safety standards
Program Details
- 4-year commitment to both on-the-job training and ABC schooling
- ABC classes cover: plumbing theory, code requirements, math, blueprint reading, safety, and installation practices
- Apprentices work full‑time and receive raises as skills and training benchmarks are met
- All training hours count toward eligibility for the Journeyman Plumbing License
