- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1 year of welding or fabrication experience
- Ability to pass AWS welding certification within the first 60 days
- Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings
- Experience with aluminum welding
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Aluminum Push/ Pull Pulse Welding
- Perform aluminum welding and metal fabrication for commercial vessel construction and repair
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions using industry welding processes such as GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), FCAW, and SMAW
- Interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to complete welding projects accurately
- Fit, align, clamp, and position metal components prior to welding
- Operate welding equipment, plasma cutters, torches, grinders, and fabrication tools
- Inspect welds and finished assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Prepare materials and surfaces for welding and maintain a clean, safe work area
- Support shipbuilding, marine repair, and fabrication projects across the yar
