The Doctors Company is currently seeking a IT Business Analyst, AI Workflow to join our team. This is a hybrid position ideally based out of our office in Napa, CA, East Lansing, MI, or New York.

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3 years experience working within AI workflow products required
  • 3 years working as a business analyst required
  • Financial or insurance experience preferred
  • Experience with intelligent automation platforms preferred

Responsibilities: 

Business Discovery & Workflow Analysis 

  • Conduct discovery sessions with business stakeholders and operators.
  • Document current-state and future-state workflows.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks, redundancies, and manual activities.
  • Produce actionable business requirements and workflow models.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog of workflow improvement opportunities.
  • Discovery and documentation completed for prioritized business areas.
  • Workflow opportunities evaluated and prioritized based on business value.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction with requirements quality and completeness.

AI Workflow & Solution Design

  • Develop workflow specifications and solution designs.
  • Define business objects, relationships, decision points, and operational models.
  • Configure AI-enabled workflows within approved enterprise platforms.
  • Create prompts, workflows, automation rules, and operational logic.
  • Ensure solutions accurately model business operations.
  • Delivered solutions align with documented business requirements.
  • Reduction in workflow complexity and manual effort.
  • Successful deployment of approved use cases.

Solution Delivery & Implementation

  • Configure and deploy workflow solutions.
  • Develop scripting and automation components where necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on integrations and technical dependencies.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and rollout activities.
  • Support production deployment and post-launch stabilization.
  • Delivery of solutions within committed timelines.
  • Achievement of defined business outcomes.
  • High adoption and minimal rework after deployment.

Business Value Realization & Performance Measurement

  • Define success metrics and KPIs for each workflow initiative.
  • Measure operational improvements before and after implementation.
  • Track adoption, utilization, and business outcomes.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting for leadership.
  • Recommend continuous improvements based on observed performance.
  • Demonstrated ROI from delivered solutions.
  • Improved cycle times, productivity, quality, or customer outcomes.
  • Transparent reporting of business impact.

Stakeholder Partnership & Operational Enablement

  • Build trusted relationships with business leaders and operators.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist with organizational change management and adoption activities.
  • Train users on workflow capabilities and new ways of working.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Successful user adoption.
  • Positive feedback from business partners.

Governance, Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain documentation and process artifacts.
  • Adhere to security, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Support testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Promote reusable workflow patterns and standards.
  • Contribute lessons learned and best practices.
  • Audit-ready documentation.
  • Compliance with enterprise governance standards.
  • Reduced implementation risk and increased solution quality.

Learning, Development, & Compliance

  • Maintain full compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and established standards (e.g. accurately recording time worked, Submitting PTO, mandatory corporate training)
  • Keep technical knowledge and skills current to effectively support department priorities.
  • Complete all performance and development activities including the performance review process in a timely manner.
  • Fulfill all required training and development obligations to maintain essential skills and credentials.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance courses on time, meeting corporate training standards.
  • Pursue additional learning opportunities that strengthen professional capabilities and contribute to team and organizational performance, with prior manager approval.

Other Duties Assigned

  • Support enterprise and departmental objectives by taking on assigned projects and delegated tasks with accountability, attention to detail, and timely execution.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance business efficiency and strengthen organizational effectiveness.
  • Proactively provide regular updates to leadership on project status, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Maintain flexibility and agility to take on additional responsibilities as organizational needs evolve.

 

Salary Range: $124,548 - $163,879. Compensation varies based on skills, knowledge, and education. We consider factors such as specialized skills, depth of knowledge in the field, and educational background to ensure fair and competitive pay.
