Job Title: Senior Security, CCTV & Alarm Installer
Location: San Antonio, TX (Travel may be required)

Position Summary:
The Senior Security, CCTV & Alarm Installer is responsible for the installation, configuration, commissioning, and estimating of advanced security systems, including video surveillance (CCTV), access control, and intrusion alarm systems.
This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership in the field, and the ability to develop accurate project estimates and client-ready proposals for commercial and hospitality environments while ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead installation and deployment of CCTV systems, access control systems, and intrusion alarm systems.
· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for system layout and implementation.
· Install and terminate low-voltage cabling including CAT6, fiber optic, and security cabling.
· Configure and program surveillance cameras, NVRs/DVRs, access control panels, and alarm systems.
· Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including network connectivity and device performance.
· Develop detailed project estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment for security systems.
· Prepare professional proposals, scopes of work, and cost breakdowns for clients and stakeholders.
· Conduct site surveys and job walks to accurately assess project requirements and installation scope.
· Collaborate with sales teams, project managers, and clients to refine system design and budgets.
· Coordinate with general contractors and other trades on job sites.
· Ensure installations meet industry standards, local codes, and company quality expectations.
· Train and mentor junior technicians and installers.
· Maintain accurate documentation, including as-builts, test results, and system configurations.
· Perform system testing, commissioning, and client handoff demonstrations.
Required Qualifications:
Texas Certification- Security Manager
Texas Certification- Alarm Installer
· 5 years of experience in security system installation (CCTV, access control, and alarms).
· Proven ability to independently develop accurate estimates and client-ready proposals.
· Strong knowledge of IP-based video surveillance systems and networking fundamentals.
· Experience with leading manufacturers (e.g., Avigilon, Hanwha, Axis, Bosch, Honeywell, DSC, etc.).
· Proficient in cable installation, termination, and testing (copper and fiber preferred).
· Strong understanding of material takeoffs, labor forecasting, and project costing.
· Ability to read construction drawings and technical documentation.
· Proficiency with estimating tools and Microsoft Excel.
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Ability to get on military installations, meaning no criminal record.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Industry certifications (ESA, NICET, BICSI, or manufacturer certifications).
· Experience in hospitality, multi-dwelling units (MDU), or large commercial environments.
· Knowledge of VLANs, PoE switching, and basic network configuration.
· OSHA certification or safety training.
