Position Overview
The Accounting Associate is a part-time position of approximately 25 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours during busy times. This role supports the Finance Department with accurate, timely financial records, customer accounts, vendor payments, capital credit activity, and required reports. Primary duties include general ledger work, cash receipts, and bank reconciliations, with support for other accounting functions as needed. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working with team members, customers, and vendors to support TCT’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
· General Ledger & Account Reconciliation
o Enter daily and monthly recurring journal entries.
o Reconcile accounts to support accurate financial records.
· Cash Receipts & Customer Account Support
o Post daily cash receipts.
o Apply CABS payments to customer accounts.
o Prepare customer invoices through TCT’s financial billing system.
· Banking, Investments & Reporting
o Complete bank reconciliations.
o Track monthly investment activity.
o Prepare monthly reports for the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries
- Some accounting concepts or bookkeeping experience
