Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker 

Location: York

Shifts: Term time - 5-9am & 3.30 - 7pm / School holidays - 8-8 *MUST BE ABLE TO DO BOTH TERM AND NON TERM TIME*

Pay Rates (including holiday pay): Days £16.81 / Nights £18.91 / Weekends £21.01

About the Role

You’ll be part of a care team, supporting an individual with profound and multiple learning disabilities. He is non-verbal, has autism and ADHD, and has complex medical needs including epilepsy. He requires continuous 2:1 support at all times for safety, regulation, and access to the community.

This person thrives on movement, clear structure, predictable routines, and calm, confident adults who support regulation and safety.

Support takes place within a busy, lived-in family home, alongside community-based activity.

Our shared goal is to help them feel safe and enhance their quality of life through compassionate, person-centred care.

What We’re Looking For

• 12 months UK-based experience in a community setting. 

• Confidence in maintaining risk and using physical intervention where required.  

• Confidence in utilising PBS standards within services.  

• Strong personal values and ethical standards.  

• Dedication, commitment and stability.  

• A genuine desire to build lasting relationships and make a positive impact.
