Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and materials handling. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems and a strong understanding of safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to load and unload products efficiently.
- Perform picking and packing of orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse processes and enhance productivity.
- Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory movements and maintaining accurate records within the warehouse management system.
- Participate in training sessions on heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices and systems is a plus.
- Experience operating heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts, and order pickers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of packaging techniques, shipping & receiving processes, and order picking methodologies is beneficial.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment when necessary.
