Position Summary:
Complete any orders given by TCN providers. Contributes to the daily operations and productivity of the Psychiatric Services unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispenses central pharmacy in conjunction with and at the time of the client’s visit and monitors all central pharmacy transactions to a degree of 100% accuracy.
- Maintains current tracking systems for injections, medication boxes and treatment plans.
- Triages current clients who are having problems or questions regarding prescribed medication and maintains 100% accurate documentation of client contacts.
- Provides accurate and complete verbal and written instructions for all medications prescribed by the psychiatrist during the client’s visit.
- Receives and manages telephone orders from the psychiatrist and sends them in to the pharmacy as per the psychiatrist’s orders.
- Provides services in the client’s natural environment if needed.
- Maintains awareness of indigent care medication programs from various drug companies and assists clients in application for those programs.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of treatment plans.
- Facilitates training for other TCN staff for monitored client self-administration of medication.
- Meets standards pertaining to services provided.
- Accumulates the required number of billable hours of clinically allocated time based on Agency standards for position and profession.
- Meets standards pertaining to documentation.
- Documentation will provide sufficient reasoning for the type, frequency, and duration of services provided.
- Progress Notes and other documentation clearly identifies consumer’s input in services by having consumer’s and parent’s/guardian’s (if applicable) signatures when clinically appropriate.
- Completes progress notes at the end of each session and turns them in within 24 hours of completion.
- Maintains license or registration appropriate to profession and appropriate to job requirement, including appropriate amount of continuing education at all times of employment.
- Remains free from citations by other providers or by consumers for unethical practice and meets standard for own profession.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: At minimum, degree required by State of Ohio for RN; at minimum High School Diploma/GED AND LPN Diploma required for LPN.
- Experience: One to two years in behavioral health care field preferred
- Certification: RN or LPN required.

Skills: Computer literacy, interpersonal skills, communication skills, assessment skills.
Ability to: Lifting to twenty-five pounds, use of computer keyboard, sitting for periods of time, communicating information clearly, ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions related to persons with disabilities.
