Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Assistant Director to support the daily operations of our child care facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for children while assisting the Director in managing staff, curriculum development, and compliance with regulations. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to early childhood education, and the ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in overseeing the daily operations of the child care center.
- Support staff in implementing age-appropriate educational programs that promote children's development.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with educators to develop curriculum that meets the diverse needs of children.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers in classroom management and instructional strategies.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their child's progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating staff performance.
Experience
- A degree from a university in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred or an CDA.
- Previous experience in education administration or child care management is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working with students or children in an educational setting.
- Experience in higher education teaching or training is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and inspire both staff and families.
