Position Overview
This role requires a well-rounded electrician capable of diagnosing, repairing, and installing a wide range of commercial electrical systems. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience with HID and LED lighting systems, and is comfortable operating a bucket truck.
This position includes some on-call rotation and travel throughout the state of Florida as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Lighting & Electrical Service
Diagnose and repair HID lighting systems (ballasts, ignitors, lamps, photocells, contactors)
Install and retrofit LED fixtures and controls
Troubleshoot commercial electrical circuits and panels
Perform underground and exterior lighting repairs
Install new fixtures, poles, and electrical equipment
Bucket Truck Operations
Safely operate bucket trucks for pole light repairs and installations
Perform elevated work in compliance with safety standards
Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain equipment properly
Service & Project Work
Complete commercial electrical installations and repairs
Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
Document job notes, materials used, and before/after photos
Communicate clearly with dispatch and management regarding job progress
On-Call & Travel
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls
Travel in-state to service various commercial locations
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of commercial electrical experience preferred
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with HID lighting systems required
Bucket truck experience preferred
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Willingness to travel and work occasional after-hours calls
