$25.00 – $30.00 per hour (DOE)

Position Overview

TCI Leasing & Rental is looking for a skilled Tire Technician to join our Lakeland team. In this role, you’ll perform tire repairs, replacements, fleet checks, road service calls, after-hours responses, and light service repairs for our commercial customers.

Your success is measured by efficiency, safety, and the quality of your work.

Core Responsibilities

• Follow all PPE and safety procedures

• Operate service trucks to perform mobile fleet services and emergency roadside calls

• Raise vehicles with hydraulic jacks

• Remove, repair, and replace commercial tires using appropriate tools

• Inspect casings for damage, leaks, and defects

• Locate and repair punctures in tubeless tires

• Replace valve stems and remount tires

• Balance tires using weights or balancing beads

• Reinstall wheels and rotate tires as needed

• Assist mechanics with tire-related work

• Safely operate TCI vehicles for testing and troubleshooting

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment

• Communicate any unsafe conditions or equipment issues promptly

• Maintain reliable attendance and professionalism at all times

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to read and write English clearly

• Basic math skills

• Valid driver’s license

• Tech/vocational certification preferred (or willingness to enroll)

• CDL with air brake endorsement preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• Basic computer/data-entry skills

• Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting, bending, kneeling, etc.)

• Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
