Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Upfitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for modifying and enhancing vehicles to meet specific customer requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, including powertrains and electrical systems, as well as hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. The Automotive Upfitter will work primarily with ford vehicles, ensuring that all modifications are performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Perform modifications on vehicles, including installation of aftermarket parts and accessories.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automotive systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to complete installations and repairs.
- Conduct diagnostics on automotive electrical systems to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Work with powertrain components, including engines and transmissions, to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and diesel engine repair techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive service or a related field is required.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics is essential.
- Experience in welding and using hand tools effectively is necessary.
- Previous work with powertrain components or diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
