Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic food service team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest experiences by delivering prompt, courteous, and professional service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction, food safety, and efficient service to ensure guests enjoy their dining experience from start to finish. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments via POS or cashiering systems.
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests.
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions, concerns, or special requests professionally.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and quality standards are met.
- Support host/host duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations.
Skills
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests effectively.
- Previous food service or restaurant experience, including fine dining or nightclub settings, is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy.
- Familiarity with food preparation, serving protocols, and guest relations in hospitality environments.
