Repack Case Operator
Description:
The Repack Case Operator is responsible for setting up/operating casing packing equipment and breaking Poly bag Operators. This role requires the individual to be flexible, as they may be required to perform multiple duties across multiple lines as assigned by shift leadership. The Repack Case Operator must be adept at working in a fast-paced environment and able to complete assigned tasks quickly and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Knows and follows all company safety and food safety policies.
• Is flexible to work in different environments (cold/warm)
• Is flexible to cover for Poly operators when short handed
• Relieves Poly operators for breaks and lunches
• Helps with training of repack team members
• Sets up and operates casing equipment and machinery.
• Monitors repack process to identify and rectify issues as they arise (troubleshoots)
• Assists with the setup and teardown of equipment as needed
• Ensures all necessary materials and supplies are stocked and ready for use when needed
• Collaborates with other team members to ensure efficient and effective repack processes.
• Provides support for other areas of repack as needed.
• Assists with line wash-down when necessary
• Maintains work area in an orderly fashion
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required:
• Ability to read bag and case coding, ability to read scales.
• Ability to complete sample paperwork.
• Basic knowledge of equipment and machinery used in a packaging environment.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Essential Physical Abilities:
• Stand for 8 to 10 hrs. per day.
• Lifts/pulls/pushes weights of up to 55 lbs.
• Work in a cold environment
• Work in a warm Environment
• Work in a loud environment
