Retail Sales Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their shopping needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will play a key role in promoting our products and driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product offerings to effectively upsell items.
• Stock shelves and ensure that merchandise is displayed neatly and attractively.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and organizing stock.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions and managing cash register operations.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service and phone etiquette.
• Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts is advantageous for managing stock levels and inventory.
• A passion for the retail settings is desirable.
