As a Project Superintendent, you will be the on-site leader responsible for scheduling subcontractors, coordinating materials, enforcing safety regulations, and ensuring projects stay within budget and on schedule. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Projects include commercial, municipal, educational, and industrial construction throughout North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:
Site Management & Coordination:
- Serve as the on-site leader, ensuring all work is completed according to project plans, schedules, and safety requirements.
- Direct and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers, ensuring work meets quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a daily job log of work progress, subcontractor activities, weather conditions, and material deliveries.
- Schedule inspections, testing, and permits to ensure compliance with local building codes and project specifications.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, inspectors, and neighboring property owners.
Scheduling & Budget Control:
- Develop and maintain the construction schedule, ensuring all work progresses efficiently and stays on time.
- Control labor costs, making strategic hiring and subcontracting decisions to stay within budget.
- Oversee materials procurement and ensure timely deliveries to prevent delays.
- Enforce cost control measures, avoiding unnecessary expenses such as rework, overtime, and material waste.
Safety & Quality Assurance:
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies, ensuring a zero-incident work environment.
- Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions for all personnel on-site.
- Ensure quality control at every stage of construction, identifying and addressing issues before they become costly mistakes.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites to prevent hazards and promote efficiency.
Project Communication & Reporting:
- Work closely with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Owners to ensure smooth project execution.
- Attend and lead weekly project meetings to provide updates and discuss challenges.
- Track and manage change orders, ensuring all modifications are documented and approved.
- Submit expense reports, delivery tickets, and subcontractor invoices on a weekly basis.
- Provide project close-out documentation, including punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, and client sign-offs.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Experience:
- 5 years of commercial construction experience in a Superintendent or similar field leadership role.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Certifications:
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (preferred, but company training available).
- Fall Protection, Lifts, or other safety certifications (preferred, but training provided).
Other Requirements:
- Valid NC Driver's License.
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments, travel between job sites, and work overtime when needed.
- ProCore experience is a plus.
