Retired or Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – In‑Home Care for ALS Patient
Location: Corinth, MS
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday – Thursday 10 hours daily)
Pay: $18.00-20.00 /hour (based on experience)
About the Role
We’re seeking a compassionate and reliable Retired or Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one‑on‑one in‑home care for a patient living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This position combines skilled nursing care with personal support and housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care per physician orders and the patient’s care plan
- Monitor respiratory function, nutrition intake (feeding tube if/when applicable), and mobility needs
- Administer medications and record vital signs accurately
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, transfers, repositioning)
- Maintain and clean medical equipment and patient areas
- Perform housekeeping duties (meal prep, cleaning patient space)
- Document care and promptly report any changes in condition
- Offer emotional support to the patient and family
Qualifications
- Active or Retired LPN license in the state of [Mississippi]
- BLS/CPR certification required
- 1 year of home health or long‑term care experience preferred
- Experience with neuromuscular or respiratory patients (ALS, MS, spinal injury) strongly preferred
- Compassionate demeanor and excellent communication skills
- Reliable transportation
