What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Office and Outside helper position at TCB Self Storage Inc?

1. A valid state driver's license that is NOT expired. (Valid driver license is a must as the job requires you to drive Uhaul trucks)
2. Have proof of being covid 19 vaccinated (does not need to be up to date)
3. Owning a vehicle is not required but you will need to have reliable transportation.
4. Assist in closing front gates nightly, which requires you to take security pics of the grounds with your mobile phone and send via text messages. This will be done on a nightly rotating basis with other employees between 8pm and 10pm and on Sunday mornings gate will need to be opened at 8am which will be rotational as well.
5. Write & read English. Spanish speaking a plus.
6. Needs to work and can work for $11.00 per hour (firm) on a 90 probation.
7. Clean record, no theft, assault or felonies.
8. Can take direction from owner and 2 people underneath owner.
OUTSIDE PORTION OF JOB: The applicant hired should be able to work outside to check-in and out Uhaul trucks and trailers. The ability to at least lift 50 pounds is necessary to hookup trailers to customers' vehicle ball-hitch. The ability to walk around 5-acre park to check locks, pick up trash, show customers storage units, meet Uhaul customers at rear of park to hook up trailers, hang up seasonal decorations, help clean out storage units when needed.
OFFICE PORTION OF JOB: Must have computer knowledge including use of Word and Excel; knowledge of scanning docs to email; upload pics; printer knowledge; find information quickly on internet. Familiarity of computer and ease of computer use is required as the rental and u haul software are internet based. Other duties include collection calls, cashier duties, generate reports, communicate with corporate office and office owner. Be professional pleasant and projected voice is needed for phone calls and all verbal communication with customers and staff. Light housekeeping of lobby office and restroom is required.
Pay: $11.00 per hour
