Job Summary
- Deliver customized training programs in industrial maintenance and integrated automation technologies, including: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), robotics and automation systems, electrical and mechanical systems, pneumatics and hydraulics, and industrial safety and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and evaluate trainees/students’ progress, maintain records in the college’s student records management system, maintain appropriate documentation and submit timely reports.
- Provide hands-on instruction using lab equipment, simulators, and real-world scenarios.
- Track trainee progress and provide feedback to both participants and management.
- Maintain training facilities, tools, and equipment in optimal condition.
- Support continuous improvement of training programs through feedback and performance data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align training content with operational needs and evolving technologies.
- Provide instruction in both specialized industrial training and classroom technical training when needed.
- Perform related tasks and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED/HiSET. Technical diploma or post-secondary credential in a related field. Associate Degree preferred.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in industry.
- In-depth knowledge of electronics, variable frequency drives, mechanical maintenance, electrical motor controls, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, PLC (RSLogix), instrumentation, predictive and preventative maintenance, and industrial robotics.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and industrial standards.
- Must possess computer skills and knowledge of emerging technologies in manufacturing and automation.
- Skilled in managing deadlines and working in a team-oriented environment.
- Committed to utilizing technology in teaching/learning experience and willingness to stay up to date in developing instructional technologies. Prior teaching or evidence of ability to teach students is a plus.
