The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Academic/Student Support Associate 5 – Financial Aid for the Clarksville Campus. This is not a remote work position.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Technical diploma in occupational area required; Associate Degree preferred. A comparable combination of education and related employment experience may be considered.
Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in an office environment within the last seven (7) years; customer service experience preferred.
Must possess the communication skills necessary to effectively and tactfully interact with the public and employees at all levels.
Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of MS Office applications.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects, attend to multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Willingness to remain current in regulations and policies relating to financial aid programs.
Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner and federal/state financial aid programs a plus.
GENERAL DUTIES : The Academic/Student Support Associate 5 – Financial Aid is responsible for a broad range of tasks in a fast-paced office setting. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Serving as School Certifying Official for veterans education benefits and completing annual training requirements.
Meeting with current and prospective students to provide counseling regarding all aspects of the financial aid process, veterans education benefits and other student aid programs.
Processing student verification paperwork and obtaining proper documentation for financial aid and veterans education benefits.
Assisting current and prospective students with financial aid and scholarship applications.
Participating in new student orientation to provide information on financial aid, other student aid and veterans education benefits.
Assisting with annual veterans’ recognition program.
General office tasks such as filing, creating reports, data entry, answering calls and e-mails, scanning/copying, submitting forms and documents in a timely manner, etc.
Some travel will be required.
Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position reports to the Student Services Assistant Coordinator. This is not a remote work position.
SALARY: $35,114-$43,892 per year ($18.01-$22.51 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines and related experience.
