Responsibilities
- Conduct account analysis to identify outstanding debts and prioritize collections.
- Utilize medical terminology and ICD-10 coding knowledge to manage healthcare-related accounts.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Handle accounts payable inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette while communicating with clients regarding their debts.
- Document all interactions and updates in the accounting software accurately.
- Process debits and credits related to accounts in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective collection strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in debt collection or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of account management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and ICD-10 coding is a plus.
- Proficient in accounting software and tools for managing accounts receivable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
