The Opportunity
The Sr. Manager, Procurement & Expediting will have functional accountability for leading a team across the enterprise with the execution of procurement and expediting services while providing strategic oversight and development of industry best practices.
Role works closely with the required Directors, Managers, Peers, internal Business Stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure delivery of the right materials, at the right time, at the right cost.
What you'll do
Align resources to priority and optimize resources scope/utilization
Evaluates performance of employees under direct supervision, including assisting with the establishment of goals and personal development for the Procurement and Expediting function
Manage the Procurement resource plans and budget
Drive performance results with the development of both internal and external KPI's (Material Status Reporting, Expediting, Material Lead Time Calculations, etc.)
Earn trust with internal business partners; establish enduring relationship, build a robust understanding of commodities, strategic business direction, requirements, and priorities across suppliers and/or spend categories
Develop value-adding, comprehensive, future-looking commodity strategies and demand plans with category contract leaders and business users
Deep dive across multiple business lines who use similar categories and commodities to leverage our supplier base to optimize performance, quality, efficiency, and cost
Develop specific procedures, guidelines, and reference documents to support compliance with policy adherence
Develop and implement procurement strategies
Accountable for managing material deliveries based on project scheduling and monitoring performance reporting of the procurement and expediting team
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
Manage risk and compliance of procurement activities
Continuous mindset to deliver best in cost, best in class efficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications
Post-secondary degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering
10 or more years of strategic procurement & expediting experience
7 or more years of strategic procurement leadership
Very good computer skills including SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, Power BI, and other business application software
Continuous improvement experience
Sourcing, Negotiations, and Contract Management experience
Strategic Partnership Supplier Management experience.

Purchasing Certifications
Specific to oil and gas commodities
Specific to oil and gas commodities; Ability organizes teams to meet SLAs with a large volume of transactions within tight deadlines
Ability to develop and present solid business cases
Lean/Six Sigma credentials & experience.
