Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using various POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive guest experience
- Assist with food handling, food preparation, and sanitation to uphold safety standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Clear tables promptly by bussing and resetting for new guests while maintaining a clean dining area
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when needed and coordinate with host/host staff for seamless seating arrangements
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and allergens, to assist guests effectively
- Contribute to a lively atmosphere by supporting nightclub or event-related service when applicable
- Follow all sanitation procedures to ensure cleanliness in food service areas and uphold health standards
Requirements
- Prior restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue
- Excellent communication skills for guest relations and team collaboration
- Basic math skills for cashiering duties and transaction accuracy
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/host or nightclub service is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
