Operations Controller

Overview:

As Operations Controller, applicants would play a critical role in rebuilding and standardizing accounting operations across the business. Ideal candidates will be operationally minded and bring a strong foundation in technical accounting, process improvement, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and audit readiness
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and maintain strong internal controls
• Lead and develop a team of approximately 12 accounting professionals
• Partner with the Chief Accounting Officer and senior leadership to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Manage and optimize ERP systems (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP Business One, or similar)
• Support organizational transformation initiatives, including future offshoring of accounting functions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Active CPA license in Florida (required)
• 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including proven experience managing and developing teams.
• Background in Big Four Accounting Firms/large regional public accounting firm OR manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred).
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
