Market Data Reporting Specialist Financial services New York, New York Temp Feb 20, 2025 We are seeking a highly skilled Market Data Reporting Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for managing our exchange data usage, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and optimizing our market data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial market data systems, exchange policies, and data management tools. Key Responsibilities: Exchange Reporting and Compliance Monitor and analyze the bank's global exchange data usage across all vendors and direct connections, including non-display applications, usage types, vendor datafeeds, and entitlement files. Maintain a thorough understanding of exchange reporting policies, formats, and portals. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, or annual reports to exchanges, either directly or through vendors. Complete mandatory quarterly or annual Exchange declarations, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of global exchange usage. Data Management and Reporting Update the Market Data Management (MDM) system with user IDs, services, costs, and exchange entitlements using dedicated upload handlers for various platforms (e.g., Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg B-PIPE, Factset). Utilize macros to configure vendor entitlement files for MDSL's generic upload templates and perform monthly uploads into MDM. Generate and provide monthly CME, NYSE CTA, and UTP MISU Inventory Reports, including necessary supplementary files (HRID file, BLI file, Leaver Compliance report). Exchange Agreements and Policy Monitoring Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current exchange non-display agreements, including application owners, vendors, and regional usage. Monitor and act on exchange policy updates, ensuring compliance with new reporting and licensing requirements. Liaise with exchange contacts to obtain correct license agreements, maintaining compliance and preventing data loss. Vendor-Specific Responsibilities Oversee Bloomberg BPIPE compliance, advising the business on usage rules for display and non-display applications. Provide guidance on accessible BPS or Market Data fields based on usage type. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, or related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for macro development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with market data management systems (e.g., MDSL) and exchange reporting portals. In-depth knowledge of financial market data structures, exchange policies, and compliance requirements. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment1. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role within the financial services industry. Familiarity with Bloomberg, Factset, and other major financial data platforms. Experience with data visualization tools for creating reports and dashboards.
