Job Overview

We are seeking skilled and reliable HVAC Service Technicians to join our growing team in Farmingdale, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems for residential customers. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, a solid understanding of HVAC systems, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.

This position offers earning potential of up to $120,000 annually, and the company is looking to hire immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• HVAC Installation & Maintenance
• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential customers.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning, inspecting, and replacing components as needed.
• Diagnose HVAC system issues and recommend effective repair or replacement solutions.
• Ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs
• Identify and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues.
• Provide accurate and timely repair solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Customer Service & Communication

• Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding system issues, recommended repairs, and service options.
• Educate customers on proper system operation, maintenance, and energy-saving practices.
• Maintain a professional appearance and build strong relationships with customers.

Documentation & Reporting

• Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Submit work orders, parts requests, and related documentation promptly.
• Track and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and service parts.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company and industry safety procedures.
• Properly handle and dispose of refrigerants and other regulated materials.
• Stay current with industry advancements, building codes, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience with refrigerant handling and industry-standard tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid HVAC certification and/or license (required).
• EPA Certification for refrigerant handling (required).
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
