What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Coach position at TBC Racing?
TBC Racing is seeking an Assistant Coach for our Junior Boys program for the Fall 2026 season.Practices are held Monday through Friday from 4:00–6:30 p.m., with Saturday morning practices. The fall season runs August 31 through November 4, 2026, with opportunities for continued employment in future seasons based on performance and organizational needs.
Responsibilities
-Coach assigned athletes during practices and competitions.
-Help foster a positive, challenging, and athlete-centered training environment.
-Assist with day-to-day program operations.
-Support athlete recruitment and team-building initiatives.
-Travel with the team to away regattas as needed.
-Work collaboratively with the coaching staff while also managing assigned responsibilities independently.
Required Qualifications
-Knowledge of rowing technique and training principles.
-Ability to teach rowing fundamentals in a positive and effective manner.
-Strong communication and organizational skills.
-Ability to work evenings, Saturdays, and travel to regattas.
-Passion for rowing, coaching, and continued professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience competing in rowing at the high school, collegiate, or higher level.
-Previous coaching or instructional experience with youth athletes.
-Successful candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and, because this position works with minors, employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check and any other required child safety screening.
Compensation
$2,500–$4,000 for the Fall 2026 season, depending on qualifications and experience.
