What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Counter Automotive Parts Associate position at TBA & Oil Warehouse?
TBA is an automotive parts warehouse that delivers parts but also serves retail customers. We are looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and personable Front Counter Associate to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting both retail customers at the counter and dispatching duties for delivery and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist walk-in customers with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Accurately identify and look up automotive parts based on customer needs, gathering all necessary information to ensure correct orders.
- Provide customers with multiple part options (price and quality) and guide them toward the best solution.
- Process and reconcile cash register and credit card transactions daily.
- Assist the dispatcher in maintaining efficient workflow and order fulfillment.
- Keep the front counter and lobby clean, tidy, and welcoming.
- Support teamwork between sales, dispatch, and warehouse staff.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; some higher education preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an automotive customer service or parts representative role.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and personable customer interaction skills.
- Proficiency with PC/software for parts lookup and transactions.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a reliable source of transportation.
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
