What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook - Tazza D'Oro position at Tazza D'oro?
Primary Purpose: To assist in assembly and preparation of menu items at Tazza D'Oro's commissary kitchen. Monday through Friday, 7am to 1pm. Candidate must be highly dependable and able to work independently in a spacious kitchen with a great team.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consistently follow our recipes, standard portion sizes, and cooking methods
- Understands and adheres to all health code standards and safe food handling procedures
- Assemble menu items according to daily build sheets
- Adheres to quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures, FIFO
- Properly wraps, labels and stores food in correct location
- Manages a running inventory list of items needed and used
- Maintains a clean work station
- Takes part in dishwashing duties in kitchen three basin sink
- Performs kitchen closing duties
- Occasional deep cleaning of equipment and coolers
- Other special projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years line cook/prep cook experience in a banquet kitchen or casual restaurant
- ServSafe certification, preferred
- Available to work early mornings
- Must be able to stand for hours at a time
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Dependable and able to work independently
Availability

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent/ culinary education a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional Lifting up to 50lbs
Compensation and Benefits:
- $16-20/hour based on experience
