Responsibilities

- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and efficient service
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals
- Upsell menu items and specials to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction
- Prepare simple food items or assist with food preparation to support kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety guidelines
- Support food handling procedures, ensuring all health regulations are followed during service and food prep
- Assist with food delivery from kitchen to customers when needed, ensuring timely service in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting
- Manage POS transactions smoothly while providing friendly, professional interactions with customers
- Support team members in maintaining an organized workspace and efficient restaurant flow
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in quick service or fast-food settings
- Familiarity with Clover POS system.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and grocery store transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks confidently within a café or food industry setting
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Experience in upselling and sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while staying organized under pressure
