Inspection Bay & General Shop Attendant
40 Hours, Benefits, 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday

We service our fleet as well as outside customers through our professional and well-maintained truck and trailer shop that includes parts and wash bay operations.
The Ideal Candidate
- Conducts general inspection of trucks and trailers (brakes, air leaks, lights, tires, etc.) to help maximize asset function and longevity and reduce breakdowns and inspection violations. Includes very light mechanical work.
- Communicate with floor supervisor and mechanics.
- Detailing and cleaning assets as assigned.
- Complete daily yard checks.
- Performs general shop assistance to Shop Manager including parts stocking, inventory assistance, and other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other employees across the company.
- Self-starter, motivated to apply abilities throughout each shift, producing personal-best quality work in a productive and ethical manner.
- Professional demeanor with good communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Driven to keep a clean, safe work space and work habits.
- Reliable with an exceptional attendance record and proven ability to perform at a high productivity level without sacrificing attention to detail and quality.
- Willingness and ability to follow basic to complex policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Sound verbal and written communication skills.
- Good basic math abilities.
- Skilled in proper lifting techniques and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Good general computer skills.
- Fork lift experience is a plus.
- Very light mechanical experience helpful; experience working in a mechanical or similar shop environment is beneficial.
- Willing to train the right candidate.
