Job Title: Concrete/Carpenter

Location: Rockville, Virginia

Job Type: Full-Time Per diem ($90/Daily) if out of 50 mi radius.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Concrete/Carpenter to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and dismantle concrete formwork using wood, metal, and engineered forming systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and secure forms according to project requirements.
• Place, spread, level, and finish concrete for foundations, slabs, walls, columns, sidewalks, and other commercial structures.
• Assist with concrete pours, including screeding, floating, edging, and finishing.
• Install embeds, anchor bolts, expansion joints, and other concrete accessories.
• Strip and clean forms for reuse.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Assist with layout, framing, and other rough carpentry tasks as needed.
• Perform demolition and site preparation work.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.
• Work closely with supervisors and other trades to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Previous experience in commercial concrete construction and/or carpentry preferred.
• Ability to read tape measures and basic construction drawings.
• Experience with concrete form systems (wood, Symons, Doka, Peri, EFCO, or similar) is preferred.
• Knowledge of concrete placement and finishing techniques.
• Ability to safely operate construction tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Reliable transportation to various job sites.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when project schedules require.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts when required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods.

Work Environment

• Commercial construction sites.
• Exposure to dust, noise, concrete materials, and changing weather conditions.
• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility clothing, and steel-toe boots.
