Role Description The Senior Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Rantoul, IL, responsible for leading exhibit projects from concept through completion. This role oversees project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure projects meet scope, quality, and timeline requirements. The Senior Project Manager coordinates closely with design, fabrication, logistics, and client teams, facilitating communication and approvals at each stage of the process. Daily responsibilities include tracking progress, managing risks, resolving issues, and maintaining documentation and reports. The role also involves conducting site visits, supporting inspections, and ensuring that deliverables align with client goals and established success metrics.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Candidates should possess Expeditor and Expediting skills to manage materials, vendor timelines, and procurement activities.
- Candidates should possess Inspection skills to review exhibit components, verify quality standards, and support on-site installations.
- Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to oversee shipping, delivery, and on-site handling of exhibit materials.
- Experience managing complex, multi-phase projects in exhibits, construction, museum, or related industries is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, design, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of leading cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Rantoul, IL and travel to client locations and project sites as needed.
