POSITION DESCRIPTION
This is a journeyman level industrial electrician position located in Shelton, Washington at the Taylor Shellfish Facility and is responsible for maintaining and repairing various Buildings & processing equipment in multiple locations.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment including:

Low & High Voltage

Motor Controls
-
Drives
-
Sensors
-
Flow Meters
-
PLC
-
Instrumentation and Complex Processes
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
-
Report any company assets in need of repairs to the maintenance manager
-
Report any safety and company policy violations to the maintenance manager or safety manager
-
Compliance with safety and regulatory concerns including food safety
-
ability to receive and maintain training
-
Professional conduct with all Taylor Shellfish employees, vendors and the general public
-
Perform high quality work on company assets in an efficient manner
-
Demonstrate a commitment to all facets of the role, working towards the achievement of the company goals and objectives

Awareness and compliance of company policies and procedures

Promote and maintain a positive, efficient, and cohesive work environment

Other maintenance tasks as needed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
-
Journeyman level industrial electrical experience and certification
-
Experience with plumbing, hydraulics, and conveyors
-
Must be able to read and understand; technical manuals, standard operating procedures, schematics, and measuring tapes
-
Availability to work: days, nights, weekends, and on call, as needed
-
Computer capabilities word, Excel, CMMS, time tracking
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, JOB & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
-
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience preferred,
-
Formal training from an accredited technical college or trade school or completion on an equivalent multi-year apprenticeship program preferred,
-
Must be 21 years or older,
-
Must possess & maintain a valid Washington driver’s license & clean driving record,
-
Regular, reliable, predictable attendance,
-
Must complete and maintain in-house forklift, tractor, first aid, safety, and H.R. trainings,
-
Organization and planning skills,
-
Ability to work independently at times with little direction,
-
Strong and sound decision-making skills,
-
Excellent verbal/written skills,
-
Well organized and detail oriented,
-
Must maintain positive company morale,
-
Must have own tools.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
-
Ability to sit, stand and/or walk on uneven ground up to 16 hours per day,

The employee is required to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and squat 100% percent of the time,

The employee needs to be able to lift up to 75 lbs. (Occasionally required to exert up to 125 lbs. of force),

The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus,

Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
-
Must be able to use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation,

Must have agility and balance to safely climb on machines, boats, etc.,

Must be able to drive up to 11 hours per day to multiple locations.
Salary : $40 - $50
