Maintenance Technician- Sacramento

Taylor Metal Products is a leading manufacturer of high-end steel roofing and siding products. We are seeking an experienced Millwright with strong hydraulic and mechanical expertise to support our production operations. This role is ideal for someone who can diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial equipment with minimal supervision and takes pride in doing the job right the first time. Must be a dependable team player and take pride in quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery, including hydraulic presses, pumps, cylinders, and power units

• Perform mechanical maintenance on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and rotating equipment

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams

• Conduct preventive maintenance and document work performed

• Fabricate, align, and assemble components as needed

• Support equipment upgrades, rebuilds, and system improvements

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years as a millwright, industrial mechanic, or maintenance technician

• Strong hands‑on experience with hydraulic systems (diagnostics, rebuilds, troubleshooting)

• Solid mechanical aptitude with proven ability to work on industrial machinery

• Ability to weld, cut, and fabricate (preferred but not required)

• Familiarity with lockout/tagout and general industrial safety practices

• Ability to work independently and respond to urgent maintenance needs
