This is not a training job - we need a LICENSED Captain to run pushboats greater than 26 feet long, which requires a MASTER OF TOWING MERCHANT MARINER CREDENTIAL.
We are seeking a license tug boat Captain (USCG Merchant Mariner's license with a towing endorsement (NOT SeaTow). Must be legal to tow in the inland waters of Texas.
You will be running and maintaining two push boats - 1 twin screw 500 HP boat, and 1 twin screw 600 HP boat. Both boats are air-conditioned and heated and have Rose Point, radar, two radios, and are impeccably maintained.
You must be effective on the VHF radio and have experience communicating with other vessels and Vessel Traffic Services (VTSS).
You will be pushing crane barges and deck barges.

Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test. Do not apply if you cannot - you will be tested prior to hire.
Must be able to pass a background check for refinery entry. Background check will be completed prior to hire.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
