Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and repairs to ensure facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently. This role supports daily operations by troubleshooting issues, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to repair requests in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
· Complete preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
· Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and machinery.
· Perform minor carpentry, painting, drywall, and general repair work.
· Maintain and repair lighting, fixtures, doors, and hardware.
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
· Accurately log on and off jobs.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
· Operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.
· Coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· 5 years of maintenance experience (industrial, commercial, or residential preferred).
· Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
· Knowledge of lasers, plasmas, press brakes and robotic welders is a plus.
· Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
