Skill Level 1. This position is while under the supervision of the Division Manager, is accountable for providing daily care to the horses and performing general maintenance of the barn, paddocks, and pastures to ensure a safe and clean environment. • Thoroughly grooms each horse in their care daily. • Mucks and cleans all horse stalls daily. • Exhibits a high level of quality horsemanship. • Conducts proper feeding and watering of the horses under the discretion of the barn foreman/division manager. • Maintains high level of cleanliness and organization in the barns. • Safely operates farm tractor and uses its relevant functions to complete daily tasks. • Assist barn foreman in maintaining conditions of pastures for their assigned barns. • Provides physical assistance to the division manager by holding horses, twitching mares, and assisting the veterinarians/blacksmiths. • Properly leads horses to and from paddocks.
